Queens Batch 1 – June 13th (tentative)

Our mated queens are selected from proven stock that I have been breeding and working with now since 2008. All of our breeder queens are selected from our colonies managing varroa without any treatments. Some general characteristics I select for are, winter hardiness, conservative with resources, good honey crops, gentle on combs. I finalize our breeder selection evaluating VSH / SMR (varroa sensitive hygiene) traits. In the end I believe natural selection is the best process for breeding good healthy stocks of honeybees.
